Guyana Airways Boeng 707 | Davis-Monthan Air Force Base

Guyana Airways Boeing 757 at AMARG Aerospace Reclamation and Maintenance Group, Tucson AZ - Matthew Christopher Murray's Abandoned America
This Boeing 707 was a part of Guyana Airways' fleet. Guyana Airways was Guyana's national airline, operating flights throughout the U.S., the Caribbean, and Canada. Founded in 1973, they went insolvent less than 30 years later in 2001, shortly after the FAA and Transport Canada barred Guyana Airways' last leased 757 from their runways due to cracked landing gear in 1999. Millions of dollars in debt and plagued by years of maintenance issues, Guyana Airways was restructured to form Guyana Air, but in 2003 this new company went under also. This liner sits now in the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) in Tucson, AZ, useful only to the coyotes that call it home.
